The Next Big Thing Blog Tour

Seasons Greetings everyone. Last week I was tagged by Luciana at   Eternal Atlantis in the Next Big Thing Blog Tour. Take a few minutes to visit Luciana’s blog and then read my answers to the interview questions.

1) What is the working title of your book?

‘Middle Age Spread’

2) Where did the idea come from for your book?

     My life
3) Which genre does your book fall under?

Women’s commercial fiction
4) Which actors would you choose to play in your movie rendition?

I’d like a couple of women of substance – feisty, intelligent women with lots of character, plus a younger woman with a streak of badness about her.
5) What is the one sentence synopsis of your book?

Three women, three secrets, one outcome
6) Will your book be self-published or represented by an agency?

     Hopefully I’ll get representation, but I don’t discount self-publishing
7) How long did it take you to write the first draft of your manuscript?

Not finished yet – at least a year’s work still to go.
8) What other books would you compare this story to?

It’s a mystery, with some romance and humour. Mavis Cheek springs to mind as a comparison
9) Who or what inspired you to write the book?

     My life
10) What else about your book might pique the reader’s interest?

The main protagonists are middle aged women, much like myself, so I hope toattract readers from this sector, although the ideas and concepts are universal.

Given it’s the holiday season, I’m not sure there’d be much uptake if I tagged anyone to carry this tour forward, so ‘ll just wish everyone a Happy New Year.
